By being able to present data — the actual facts and figures — on the spot during council meetings, Edgewood City Administrative Officer Brian Dehner has been able to facilitate focused discussions, respond to concerns by council members with data, and that has led to better decisions that drive true impact for the community.
By focusing on using data to inform discussions and decisions, they have been able to overcome objections to a proposed increase in real estate taxes and with the added revenue, were able to hire four firefighters to keep response times to a minimum — making a true difference in the lives of those they serve.
