Bulloch County, Georgia, Tackles Budgeting for Growth with OpenGov Online Budget Book

As an OpenGov customer for more than five years, Bulloch County, GA, knew exactly where to turn for help with an online budget book solution. Growing their partnership with the leader in modern cloud software for our nation’s cities and counties, finance leaders will now be able to publish their budget in an online, interactive platform with OpenGov

The population of the County, located northwest of Savannah, has grown steadily for decades. This growth of new residents has placed a burden on finance leaders to prove accountability, show transparency of how funds are spent, and improve the County’s image. To do so, leaders needed the power of centralized reporting and an intuitive budget publication to share with the public. They found both in OpenGov.

Using OpenGov’s Budget Book, County leaders will be able to create and publish an interactive online budget book that displays the most up-to-date information online to enhance citizens’ experience. The interactive budget book will sync financial and non-financial data to see outcomes and truly understand how the budget is performing. This capability will provide insights that they can share throughout County departments as well as with the public, helping to build trust.
