OpenGov has introduced a technology platform designed to help government users to prepare annual budget plans and spending reports each fiscal year.
The company said Wednesday its Budget Builder platform will work to help departmental budget teams submit proposals and supporting data as well as allow managers to review the proposals through a central online system.
Agencies can also implement the platform to create interactive reports on budget milestones, manage financial amendments and share data with elected officials and citizens, the company added.
Zac Bookman, OpenGov co-founder and CEO, said the company aims to help public sector customers manage their budgeting, reporting, communication and data-based decisionmaking activities.
The company said more than 1,200 agencies use the firm’s cloud-based Smart Government Platform.
California-based OpenGov offers budgeting and planning, management reporting, public engagement, capital projects, revenue management and analysis products and services to federal, state, local and education sectors.
